How to Reduce Vibration of Industrial Centrifugal Dewatering Machines in Multi-Level Industrial Buildings?

Industrial Centrifugal Dewatering Machines

Industrial dewatering machines achieve solid-liquid separation through high-speed centrifugal rotation. During operation, the motor drives the inner drum to rotate at high speed, generating strong centrifugal force that pushes the moisture in the materials through the perforated drum wall and discharges it, completing the dehydration process.

However, during actual operation, uneven material distribution inside the drum, excessive feeding speed, or overloading may cause severe vibration. When the operating speed approaches or matches the natural frequency of the machine-supporting structure, especially when the building floor lacks sufficient stiffness, resonance may occur. This can significantly amplify the vibration amplitude, resulting in excessive vibration and potential structural safety risks.


Working Condition Analysis

More than 20 industrial dewatering machines were installed on the second floor of a factory building. During operation, the strong centrifugal forces generated by the rotating equipment could transmit significant dynamic loads to the floor structure, creating potential safety concerns.

To reduce vibration transmission and improve operational safety, an effective vibration isolation solution was required.

Equipment parameters:

  • Equipment weight: 2,000 kg

  • Number of mounting points: 3 per machine


Vibration Isolation Solution

Load Calculation

Considering the dynamic impact generated during high-speed rotation, the design load per mounting point was calculated as:

2,000 kg × 1.5 ÷ 3 = 1,000 kg per isolator

According to the calculated load requirement:

  • ALJ-45123 can meet the basic vibration isolation requirements.

  • Considering the quantity of equipment and possible coupled vibration effects between multiple machines, the upgraded model ALJ-45150 was selected to provide higher load capacity and better vibration isolation performance.
